The Northampton Project

Victorian property renovation with rear extension rebuild, structural steel alterations, basement conversion, lift installation, full interior refurbishment, and high-end finishes throughout.

Project Overview – Northampton

A full structural redevelopment and high-end refurbishment of a Victorian property in Northampton, designed to modernise the home while preserving its original character.

The project included the demolition of the existing rear extension and a substantial ground floor enlargement, effectively doubling the footprint. Major structural works were carried out using temporary supports and new steel goalpost framing to open up and reconfigure the space.

The basement was fully refurbished and transformed into a bespoke office and leisure area, complete with a quartz desk and games space. A lift was installed to connect the basement through to the second floor, improving accessibility across all four levels and incorporating a glazed feature at the upper level.

Internally, the property was upgraded throughout with a high-end kitchen, utility room, downstairs WC, and a luxury bathroom featuring a freestanding bath and separate shower. Additional works included a dedicated cinema room and a full lounge refurbishment.

To retain the home’s Victorian character, new sash windows were installed, handmade oak doors fitted, and original-style skirting boards replaced to match existing profiles.

This project delivered a seamless blend of structural transformation, modern living, and period restoration.

“A yearlong major house renovation, guys never let us down. Even working until 1am so the floor could be fitted the next day, will use this company for everything from now on.”
